The Cortec VCI system has been developed to meet the requirements of modern corrosion protection. Compared with other corrosion protection using aluminium compound foils it is easy to handle and offers much more efficient corrosion protection. Moreover, its disposal is environmentally sound.
At the same time, Cortec VCI strictly meets the ecological, economical and technical requirements of a system for corrosion protection.

What are VCI?
Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors are active agents which vaporise very slowly via a chemical reaction (sublimate) and thus saturate enclosed environments / containers (e.g. export crates) with their fumes. VCI molecules create an invisible monomolecular layer on bare metal surfaces. Due to their polarity they are able to inhibit the destructive electrochemical corrosion reactions.
